The Guillotines
From the backstreets of Glasgow, they came!… The Guillotines have rapidly risen to be one of Scotland’s most sought after live Punk acts since their inception in 2019. The band’s music is as diverse as their fan base and that’s how they like it. Not content with sticking to one specific style or genre, the five-piece have adapted their own evolving style, drawn from their individual inspirations, to produce a unique blended sound that fuses elements of: Punk, Ska, Oi!, Hardcore, Heavy Metal, and Reggae. The Guillotines have reimagined these genres by marrying them together, accompanied by lyrics that fit in with today’s social, economic and political narrative.
The band are known for their energetic performances with spinning trumpets, skanking and thrashing about the stage! They are outgoing, friendly and always happy to play!
The Guillotines are working on their new album ‘Antagonistic’ and due to popular demand, have released the first 5 tracks on streaming platforms as an EP. The album artwork was designed by ‘The Cramps’ bassist, Fur Dixon.
